In the heart of New Delhi at India International Centre , on 30th August 2025, two visionary women — pioneering Indian designer Rosy Ahluwalia and Entrepreneur Seema Vashishth — set the stage for what promises to be one of India’s most inspiring cultural movements: Pranaam Bharat.
The curtain-raiser event was an elegant prelude to a much larger vision — to honour India’s heritage while paving the way for its creative future. The event brought together dignitaries from diverse fields — ministry officials, civil servants, defence officers, industrialists, and designers — all united by the call to celebrate Bharat.

The evening began with a mesmerizing performance by Bollywood singer Shibani Kashyap, followed by a unique Power Walk of Pride that included Dr. Shantanu Kumar (IAS), Nisith Pramanik, Captain Manjula Katoch, Suveena Thakur (IAS), Flight Lieutenant Sonal Saxena, Bharat Thakur, and Tabish Samuel. Their presence embodied the theme — India in unity, diversity, and progress.
Adding to the grandeur was a Khadi fashion presentation by Rosy Ahluwalia, titled “Cultural Threads of India”, showcasing 10 meticulously crafted ensembles — five fusion dresses and five sarees — all woven in Khadi and Banarasi-inspired fabrics. Each piece was a narrative, representing India’s artistry and evolution.
Chief Guest Kapil Misra and Guest of Honour Harvansh Chawla, Chairman of BRICS CCI, praised the initiative, calling it “a remarkable effort to revive and redefine Indian identity through art, design, and collaboration.”

In her address, Seema Vashishth & Rosy Ahluwalia shared how Pranaam Bharat aims to build an inclusive platform that celebrates India’s designers, entrepreneurs, and artisans — giving them global recognition while preserving authenticity.
The evening concluded with Manpriya Ahluwalia’s Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the unwavering support of all dignitaries and sponsors.
The Pranaam Bharat Curtain-Raiser wasn’t just an event — it was a movement in motion. A salute to India’s heart, its culture, and the countless hands that weave its identity every day.
